Proud to be a member of this group. Have had many acting opportunities, plus also enjoy helping front of house, helping get the set up (and down), and leafleting, to get the word out. No-one is precious about being THE director (we have many who can direct, and have run workshops for those desiring to learn). You don't have to earn your spurs as 'the 3rd spear carrier from the left', before getting the chance of a meatier role - some have turned up when it's a reading-for-casting, and been offered a lead role - because it's about ability (and challenge, if you want it). There's nurturing/education: want to learn how to do the lighting, the sound, stage management, directing, being the treasurer etc etc? ... we can arrange shadowing, help etc to enable you to see if it's for you, and if we can use that new skill, we will. It's a team, and it welcomes new members.

I have been a member for over 15 years and the group are very friendly and welcoming. I have had the chance to act and direct a few shows with great support from other members. Whether you want to act or just do stuff behind the scenes, everyone is welcome regardless of ability.

Unique style of amateur drama group which operates a membership and encourages everyone to "give it a go" irrespective of experience. This offers a great way to be involved in theatre for the first time or to return to it after a period of absence. The group, which is for adults, puts on three productions each year and there is an expectation that members will be team players and willing to rotate roles on and off stage. There are no auditions and new members are just as likely to be cast in a show in a key role as more long-standing ones. As a membership company the team remains together across the year running social events and workshops across the seasons. It pays to check their website for when the next meeting might be, but it is usually Monday nights unless there is a public holiday. They are also on Facebook.

A friendly, inclusive group, welcoming people of all abilities in acting and non-acting roles. Since I joined 5 years ago I've been in several productions, had a go at lighting, painted sets, put leaflets through doors, helped in the kitchen at quiz nights, there's always something to do!

I have been a member of TTB for many a year now. Although I had previously worked in a semi-professional capacity, TTB has provided me with the actual "amdram" experience (the original meaning of "amateur" being "lover of"!). It is a not "cliquey" group and if you want to act when you join, you almost always can be roped in! I have learnt a lot of backstage disciplines from being in this group. TTB aims to put on quality theatrical productions and tries its utmost to make these accessible to everyone. In short, I am proud to be a part of this group!

Small, friendly and inclusive theatre group in Milton Keynes. All abilities and levels of experience welcome. No cliqueness or pretension and lots of opportunities for actors and non actors.

Where do I begin… Bought my girlfriend here as she was looking to join a local drama group and make some young friends. On arrival we were greeted by an extremely rude and frankly disturbing gentleman who told basically told me too wait in my car and they'd call us in. It was said in a very rude manner and considering he was supposed to be our teacher I couldn't really understand a word he was saying. We waited in our car for 45 mins and watched everyone else go in and failed to even call us in. They were clearly very clicky and had no interest in new members. Really rude people in a battered old building. If you want a real drama school be prepared to pay more as this place is not worth 40p never mind £40. No wonder its so cheap...
