Great food. Very friendly staff. Beth was extremely helpful in ensuring our 4 year old had the food he wanted (he was being picky). Good price. Toilets could have done with a clean though.
Overall lovely place and will visit again.

We visited on Thursday night, we had the most amazing server Lloyd, he couldn’t do enough for us, we’d had a previous bad experience due to kitchen staff and Lloyd made this visit so perfect, the food was absolutely spot on, arrived quickly and tasted amazing, there was also another lady who was ever so kind, never met such kind staff anywhere else. A lot of care is put into the food also to make it the best it can be. We will be back and cannot recommend coming enough!

Had a fantastic dining experience at The Caldecotte this evening, we had a friendly greeting and a great recommendation for food, the mixed grill, which you can see pictured.
Our waiter was exemplary, always serving with a smile, chatter and banter. Really made us feel welcomed like we'd been regulars for years at this pub.
The food was delicious, the mixed grill was superb with everything cooked beautifully. Lots of flavour and variety in the dish.
Dessert was a delight, I loved the pancakes, which were served with a warm salted caramel sauce, chocolate honeycomb crumbs and ice cream.
Absolutely fantastic meal, atmosphere and staff and would happily come again.
Thank you!

We went here for our Christmas dinner this year and it was our first time not having Xmas dinner at home so we were all a little nervous but the food and the staff at the Caldecotte Arms were 10/10 and made us feel like it was definitely the best option to go out for food at Xmas. Compliments to the chefs who cooked up our food, it was superb! Would recommend to anyone thinking about it doing the same for 2024.

How on earth has The Caldecotte - Pub & Grill only 3.9 star reviews on Google?! So underrated, wow, they deserve the medal.
It's been our second visit, and it never disappoints.
Brilliant menu selection and all of the foods we tried so far were just bang on. The chef must have been a magician before.
The burger beef patty was cooked "medium" done to perfection, and chips were seasoned beautifully. But if I can recommend one meal to try, it must be the Rump Steak! Oh gosh, that was a total meltdown experience. Again, this is how "medium" is done, nice and pink soft on the inside and done on the outside.
Very welcoming atmosphere, with nice Xmas decor, we felt like really well looked after.
There are plenty of free car park spaces available, with outdoor kid playgrounds. Stunning views, although it was too chilly for any walks around.
The only negative thing is the toilets. They really are due for an upgrade. One mens toilet was closed permanently, and the other was stinky, wet, and without any toilet paper.
However, we will definitely look forward to our next visit.

I visited here with a friend on Saturday evening (23rd) we had no booking, but just popped in for a drink, and to take advantage of the entertainment!! I have not been to this pub before, and it seemed quite nice. The bar staff were lovely. We noticed a few people in the pub, so thought it would be safe to have a catch up and just enjoy ourselves. Unfortunately that was not to be! We noticed a group of people sitting close to the singer, however, understandably they moved further away from the singer as he was good, but he was very loud !! One of their party was wheelchair bound, so again understandably they moved to a table where they did not have to traverse any steps, of which there were many!! It seemed like they were all in deep conversations with each other until the manager went over to them and said something, I have no idea what, but she seemed almost angry that they had chosen that particular table. I have no idea if the table they had selected was reserved for another group, but there were plenty of other tables available, just none that were particularly wheelchair friendly. One of the group seemed particularly upset by whatever it was the manager had said. We chose to leave at this point as the music was way too loud, and I cannot abide people in hospitality arguing, as that is what it looked like, with customers. I would strongly suggest that if you have tables reserved, you place some sort of notice on those tables, and perhaps provide alternative areas for wheelchair users. Also perhaps consider the actions of your staff to customers as it will have an impact on future business. I got one will not be returning !
Wheelchair accessibility: Not many tables available for wheelchair users

Stayed at the hotel, 1st night had to wait over 1 hour for our food, the waiter was fantastic about the problem this was due to the cook walking out on a very busy night.
When we did get our food, it was lovely, and each night after that, we had good food. The steaks were great 👍
